Summary

Chapter 5. After April’s fight with Jim in Chapter 4, she is civil to Jim but not friendly. She begins to spend her time with Bram watching game shows instead of the soaps with Jim. After three days Jim approaches April and the two apologize and solve their differences. April feels guilty about not telling Jim about the letter she sent, but rationalizes that it can do no harm. Jim leaves to go to the mall to buy some board games to alleviate their boredom. He complains about his hands hurting again.
