Summary

Chapter 15

Impatiently, Billy and the cat wait. Two and-a-half hours later, Rayleen shows up looking for Grace. She cannot be found anywhere. Rayleen can’t get an answer from the apartment downstairs. Later on, Billy hears tap dancing coming from downstairs, and he knows Grace is okay. He tells Rayleen, who goes to tell Felipe. After Billy falls asleep, he wakes up to see the cat next to him, and screams. The cat ultimately curls up beside Billy and falls asleep. Later that day, Felipe reports that Eileen was at school to pick up Grace. He and Felipe get to talking. Billy explains his parents are filthy rich, with emphasis on the filthy. As Felipe leaves, he tells Billy it is okay if Billy is gay, that he is not prejudiced.
