Bond, Honey and Quarrel hide at the bottom of the river with only the bamboo visible on the water's surface. Two men come by and investigate the small area, but they do not see anything suspicious and continue on. After a short time, Bond surfaces and listens for any sign that the men are still around. Bond thinks he can hear someone walking nearby, but he cannot warn Quarrel fast enough. Quarrel coughs. A minute later, Bond can hear someone wading in the water nearby. Bond motions for Honey and Quarrel to go under the water again. Bond goes under too, but when he feels someone step on his leg, he knows he must kill the man because he might realize what it is he.....
