Chapter 7, Night Passage; Chapter 8, The Elegant Venus Summary

Bond and Quarrel spend a week at their rent house where Quarrel helps Bond get back into shape. While there, Bond learns that the fruit did indeed have poison in it. Not only this, but Bond also learns that the car that he had sent to Montego was run off the road, its two passengers killed. Now there is no doubt that someone wants Bond killed. At the end of the week, Bond and Quarrel take a small canoe to Crab Key in the middle of the night, taking precautions not to be seen either by the watchmen or the radar Bond suspects Doctor No has. Once they arrive, Bond and Quarrel hide the boat and find hiding places to sleep.
