Chapters 10 through 12 Summary

In chapter ten, Beatrice finds someone has spray painted "stiff" on her pillow. She believes it's Peter and confronts him and he says that he and Beatrice will "never be in the same faction." Al tells Beatrice not to rise to the antagonism. When they arrive at the training room, Beatrice discovers she's slated to fight Peter. Beatrice is beaten quickly but refuses to give up. She's bloodied and bruised when she wakes in the infirmary. Al, Will, and Christine visit and announce they are all supposed to catch the train the following morning.

In chapter eleven, Beatrice is sore the following day but manages to get on the train when they go to the city's boundaries. Beatrice says there was a class during which they learned about the various jobs performed by the Dauntless, and that the jobs are limited...
