Ettinger, the neighbor, drives Lucy and David to the hospital. David is surprised that Lucy wants to go to the hospital first and not the police, but Lucy is adamant about having David see the doctor for his burns. He sits in the waiting room for two hours before he is seen by an Indian woman who bandages him up and gives him pain medication.
