Paige Moresco

The narrator and protagonist of Digging In, Paige Moresco is a widow who lives with her son Trey in a gated subdivision on the outskirts of Willow Falls, Illinois. Her husband’s name was Jesse Moresco. Paige is not originally from Willow Falls (60). The “daughter of working-class people” (40), she experienced a rough childhood (26). Paige met her late husband when they were in eighth grade. She and Jesse lived together in college before becoming romantically intimate in their senior year. She majored in graphic design with a minor in business (5).

In Willow Falls, Paige works in advertising at a company named “Guh,” formerly known as “Giacomo Advertising and Design.” She wears dated power suits to work, spots a “blonde helmet bob,” and experiences pushback from her boss for her lacking work performance (16).
