Summary

In Chapter 19, Paige drove Trey to a large parking lot and stopped the car. She insisted that they switch seats. Despite his protests, he eventually did as his mother asked. He struggled to drive, eventually stopping. Trey ran from the car. Paige moved behind the wheel and sped towards the highway. She drove up next to Trey and opened the passenger door. He ignored his mother’s request to get in the car.

Suddenly, a cop car pulled Paige over. Sean knocked on her window and told Paige to follow his car. Sean blocked Trey with his car, and Paige stopped nearby and called out to her son. Trey refused to return home with his mother. Finally, his mother agreed to let him walk home alone. Before leaving, Paige invited Sean to her upcoming garden party. He accepted.
