Summary

When Greg wakes up on Friday, he discovers that it has snowed a ton overnight, and he knows school is canceled. With his parents at work, Manny at daycare, and Rodrick still sleeping, Greg has the house to himself. He sits down to watch TV, but the remote does not work. As he checks the batteries, he sees a note from his mother which says that he has to empty out the dishwasher to find one of the batteries. Greg does this and finds another note which says he must clean the bathroom to find the next battery. Greg decides instead to go into his parents’ room and begin watching the TV that is in there. Greg’s mother calls to say that Manny’s day care center is dropping him off at the house. Greg attempts to play a game with Manny...
