Summary

Greg is looking forward to a long, relaxing summer vacation, until his mom, Susan, announces the family is going on a road trip. Greg is surprised. He does not enjoy road trips, especially after the one where they visited Aunt Loretta in the nursing home, and Aunt Loretta’s roommate grabbed Greg and wouldn’t let him go until she got a chocolate chip muffin. Susan gets her ideas for road trips and family activities from “Family Frolic” magazine – which always makes things look better than they turn out. Greg’s mom insists the coming family road trip will be good bonding time with new experiences. When Greg’s dad, Frank, gets home, he is just as surprised as the kids.
