Greg Heffley

The content of this book is the journal that main character Greg Heffley wrote during his first year of middle school. Greg is best friends with Rowley, another boy in his class who lived down the street from him. Through his journal entries Greg describes himself as a boy who was not particularly popular but wished he could do something great to earn popularity for himself. Greg appears to be most concerned with avoiding being bullied and avoiding getting the Cheese Touch, a derogatory game played by the members of his class.
