Point of View

The story is recounted from the third-person and omniscient perspective. There is really no stronger focus on any one character than the others although the main characters; Carpathia, Chaim, Buck, and Chloe do get more emphasis than some of the others.

This point of view works well for this novel since the action really doesn't focus only on one particular character but instead on the actions of the Tribulation Force which is a group of people working in a variety of different locations. To try to tell the story in a first-person point of view would make it seem more like a report than a story.
