Summary

In Chapter 31, Sean walks into the alley to see the two men from the bar raping the women with whom they had left. Sean attacks the men with a stick, but the men manage to disarm and grapple Sean. They pull down Sean’s pants and threaten to penetrate him with the stick. Reed then enters the alley with a pistol, and he scares away the attackers. Chapter 32 flashes back to the winter after Caitlin’s kidnapping. The kidnapper unchained her so that they could go for a walk together. For protection, the kidnapper carried a gun, in which kept one bullet in it at a time. In Chapter 33, Sean goes into the bar, explains what just happened, and asks for directions to a hospital.
