Chapter 31-35 Summary

In chapter thirty-one, when Appicella gets to Malibu, he is given the tour of where he will be working and living. He notices that Malibu looks very Western, which surprises him. Appicella greets Majorov as Firsov, but Majorov quickly informs Appicella that the people there call him Majorov. After a brief discussion of what Appicella's job will be, Majorov and Appicella turn the talk to women. Majorov offers Appicella company for the night. Appicella asks for Trina, but is told she is not well. He goes to his room where he finds another woman, Olga waiting for him.
