Prologue - Chapter 5 Summary

Raizo Yamata has just completed a purchase of a large tract of land in Saipan, property especially important to him, for it includes a cliff from which his parents and siblings jumped in 1944, in order to avoid the occupation of barbaric Americans. Yamata has become a revered leader of the Japanese zaibatsu, a group of phenomenally wealthy businessmen and industrialists, but is not content. He has a debt of honor to his family and country, which necessitates bringing America to its knees and establishing the Japanese empire that was denied his country years ago.
