Rachel Mariana Morgan

Rachel Mariana Morgan is the main character in the story, and the point of view comes solely from this character. Rachel is a witch who is working for I.S., Inlander Security, as a runner. Rachel has been getting horrible jobs to do and decides that she will quit I.S. and go out on her own. Her plans are complicated when her boss decides to punish Rachel when another runner, Ivy, decides to quit with Rachel. Rachel is quickly seen to have trust issues. It is rather understandable why Rachel is wary of Ivy, since Ivy is a vampire and always has some hunger from blood, but it becomes clear in the story that Rachel's trust issues go much deeper than could be explained quickly.
