Chapter 13-17 Summary

Chapter thirteen begins with Rachel and Jenks waiting for Francis in the parking lot. When Francis arrives, Rachel is easily able to convince him to drive them by threatening to spell him. They drive for a time, but eventually Rachel and Jenks realize that Francis isn't going to cooperate at all, and so she puts a sleep potion on him and puts him in the trunk.

In chapter fourteen, Rachel reaches the Kalamack estate and claims to be Francine, explaining that the guy who makes the appointments hates her and so gives the wrong name all the time. She is let in and Jenks goes off with the intent of getting close to Trent to find out if he is human or Inlander. Once inside, Rachel is eventually taken to Trent's office.
