Summary

In What Came Home With Him, Samantha Davenport had been overjoyed when her husband, Ben, came home from the war alive. When he had nightmares, a tendency to startle, bouts of anger, and a faraway look in his eyes, Samatha wondered if all of her husband had come back from the war.

The narration describes a typical evening after Ben came home from work. He and Samantha exchanged information about their day. On this particular day, Samantha told him that neither she nor Jack, her assistant, had seen the man whom Samantha had believed was stalking her.
