Chapters 26-30 Summary

In chapter 26, Glitsky receives a call that Alphonse has been captured and heads downtown to question him. At first Page is reluctant to say anything, but when Glitsky mentions that Sam Polk is also dead, Alphonse starts to panic a bit. The young man slips and admits to killing Linda, but swears it was an accident. Abe decides to threaten Page with Eddie's murder as well, but is shocked to learn that the night of Eddie's death; Alphonse had been playing in a basketball tournament, against a San Francisco police department team.

In chapter 27, Hardy decides to get to the bottom of things with Arturo Cruz and arrives at his building before him. Cruz is resigned and invites Hardy inside to talk things over. Cruz reveals that he had been at his building the night Eddie had died, but had arrived...
