Cluviel Dor is a magical object given to Sookie by her grandmother, Adele. Adele had received the object from her lover and Sookie’s grandfather, Fintan after he died. The object, not well described, is rather small and trimmed in gold. It makes Sookie happy when she touches it, as if her grandfather is connected to the item.

Copley Carmichael heard of the cluviel dor from his daughter, Amelia. Carmichael knows this is the last cluviel dor in existence and that it carries great power. Carmichael wants the cluviel dor to be able to control Amelia and is furious when he finds out that it has been used.
