Summary

In Chapter 19, Manfred comes back and says that it is okay to ask Joe to go with them and suggests that they meet at the restaurant to talk about it. Olivia decides that she should go to talk to the other elderly people beforehand to see if they are willing to go along with the plan. She does so and thus meets Mamie and Suzie. After asking some questions, the two women agree to help, but they also ask for monetary payment, a meal and for Olivia to take them to the library in return. When Olivia and Manfred meet Joe and Chuy, they fill them in on the situation and ask Joe whether he can help, but Joe says he cannot and Chuy backs him up as does their dog, Rasta.
