In October 2000 Giomanach writes in his diary that his little sister Alwyn has been initiated. The ceremony involves putting an athame to the eye of the initiate and commanding them to step forward. Giomanach is proud of her, and wishes that his parents had lived to witness it. He wonders if her life would have been better as a normal person, but it's not worth thinking about.
