Chapter 4-6 Summary

Savannah awakes to strong pain because of a Carpathian's heightened senses. Savannah knows that the ritual has been finished and that now she is Gregori's lifemate, but she still wants to be free of it. Gregori explains that now that they have had the exchange of blood in the lifemate ritual, they will need it on a regular basis to live. Savannah is frightened and begins to cry. Gregori explains that they will have to be cautious of the vampires that are obviously close by, and Savannah once again remembers that her friend Peter died because of her. Savannah is frightened at the thought of making love to Gregori again because it had hurt her so badly before and Savannah is sure that she can't handle that happening again.
