Amir and Daphne's Apartment

Set in contemporary Turkey, which is also the time of the Syrian civil war, Amir and Daphne's apartment in Antep, Turkey, is where much of the novel occurs. Both Amir and Daphne have conversations with Haris here where they open up about their past experiences, perspectives, and hopes for the future. This apartment is where Daphne and Amir live, and they let Haris join them. They moved here after Daphne got injured and had to go to Delvet Hospital in Antep. This is the apartment that does not feel like a home to them.
