Rosa and Daniel say their goodbyes. Rosa will not tell Daniel where her family is hiding to prevent him from being forced to reveal their locations if he is caught. Rosa tells him that she will leave a note in his old apartment telling him where to find her when everything is over.

Mother, Father and Erika say their goodbyes to Daniel, knowing they may never see him again. Daniel and Friedrich wait until dark to go to their hiding spot in the basement under the bakery.
