Donna takes two thermoses of milk with her and Tad when they leave to take the Pinto to Camber's garage. Unfortunately, the milk runs out almost immediately, leaving them without fluids for their forty-eight hour ordeal.

Donna sees a broken bat on the side of the driveway almost immediately after arriving at Camber's. However, she does not use it for two days. When she does use it, Donna uses the broken bat to kill Cujo.
