Mind Control

While the Silvers’ ability to control a person’s mind can be helpful when it comes to interrogating war criminals, it is can change the course of a country when one Silver uses this ability against another, such as the case of Elara. Elara first messes with Coriane’s mind just because she had that ability. Later her jealousy drives her to destroy the young queen. When Tibe suggests to Coriane early in their relationship that she repay Elara’s mind control with some of her own, Coriane reminds Tibe that it is against the law to use this ability against another Silver.
