A port is a large communication device that is the only source of technology for the people of Cassia’s world.

Mini Port

A mini port is a smaller version of the main communication, research, and entertainment device that the people in the novel use. Vick has a mini port in the Outer Provinces and uses it to receive messages about arriving recruits and relocation of the current recruits.

Micro Card

A micro card holds information to be viewed on a mini port or port. Cassia has the micro card given to her at her Matching banquet. It contains all available information on Xander. Indie steals this card and falls in love with Xander.
