Book Two: Chapters 50-59 Summary

Anne relates her conversation with Jamie to Kathleen. His response was exactly what Kathleen would expect from him. His lie is hurtful to her, but Kathleen remains confident in her claim that she did not allow Jamie to have sex with her, although she admits that he "was like an ugly animal forcing himself" on her.
