In San Diego, Sticker visit Colonel Lewis office. Lew is about to be made a Brigadier General. Stecker learns that he is also be be promoted to major and will go to North Carolina. He is to be the Battalion Exec.

At the Naval Hospital, Barbara Cotter is called to the office of Lieutenant Commander Jane Marwood. She finds Hazel Grower in the office when she arrives. Barbara finds out that she has orders to go oversees as a psychiatric nurse. Marwood doesn't know where she is being sent just that the orders said she is to report to the Personnel Office.
