pgs. 105-141 Summary

Pickering appears at the White House for a meeting with Knox and the President. They are preparing to bomb Japanese aircraft carriers. Pickering is assigned to work on the project.

Ellen Feller works at the Security Intelligence Sections of the Navy. She is a linguist for the Navy and is on her way to a meeting with Commander Kramer and Captain Haughton who works for Secretary Knox. After the meeting, Feller and Kramer went to see Pickering, since Ellen is a candidate to be Pickering's secretary. A man called Mr. Satterly is also with them and they are helping outfit Pickering for his trip.
