Chapters 16-20 Summary

Becky arrives home and informs her concerned parents that she is being stalked by a man named Derek Smeath but that she does not want to tell the police, she simply wishes to get away for a bit. Her parents agree to keep things quiet.

Becky's father reads an article in the paper about the takeover of Flagstaff Life and the fact that investors will be getting a windfall. Becky is pleased, remembering that Martin and Janice have invested in Flagstaff for years.
