Summary

The last story of the cycle is titled, "Psychoanalysis Changed My Life". The story begins when Marianne goes to see Dr. Zurmer, hoping to discuss her dysfunctional relationship with her parents. She describes many and various dreams hoping that the doctor will give her some insight into her life. Marianne tells Dr. Zurmer that her mother had an affair; her dad divorced her mother who retained custody of Marianne; and she rarely got to see her father who lived out of state.
