Chapter 13 through 19 Summary and Analysis

In chapter thirteen, Brad Bernall lived near the school and was at home from work when his wife, Misty, called. Misty had heard rumors of the shootings and Brad stepped outside to see the school swarming with police. Brad remained by the phone and Misty went to the school. Parents are turned back from the perimeter and gather nearby, hoping for word from their children. Meanwhile, newly-elected Jeffco Sheriff John Stone was in command with John Dunaway as undersheriff and Lieutenant David Walcher as incident commander.
