Celie visits Sofia at Miss Millie's, where Sofia now works as the Mayor's wife's maid. They watch Millie's kids play ball in the yard when the ball rolls in front of Sofia. Billy demands that Sofia throw it back to him, but she refuses. He gets mad and tries to kick Sofia, but when she moves her leg out of the way, he ends up kicking a nail sticking out of the box she was sitting on. Miss Millie comes out and asks what Sofia did to him, but her little girl tells Millie that Billy did it to himself. It is obvious to Celie that Millie fears Sofia a bit, and she never comes close to her, but she does give Sofia a look as she brings Billy to the house. As.....
