Celie and Sofia continue to work on their quilt, and she tries to work in a piece of a yellow dress Shug gave her every chance she gets. She watches Mr. _____ and Shug walking up from the mailbox all in love.

Sofia asks Celie why people eat, and tells Celie that Harpo has started eating everything in sight as if he has tapeworm or something. They also talk about how Harpo is so much more domestically inclined than Sofia is.

The next time Harpo comes over, Celie notices how much he eats and sees that he is getting a little belly. As he sits there watching Sofia fixing his roof, he eats up Celie's food. His stomach gets bigger and bigger over time, and they tease him by asking when the baby's due. It.....
