Next, Holly and Jim drive to the cemetery. The gravestone for his grandmother states that she died when she was fifty three years of age. The date she died is September 25th, and Jim realizes this is the exact date he came with flowers to grieve for her, only it happened five years ago - on the nineteenth anniversary of her death. At that time, it had felt as though she had just died. Holly asks Jim how she died but for some reason he can't remember. Holly believes she likely died in the mill and says so. She also believes, based on her dream, that he witnessed her death. He is so intent on leaving that he doesn't notice that his grandfather's plot beside hers has no date of death on it.
