Theresa is called Tessa by most and is referred to as Tessa throughout this study guide, except in direct quotes. Tessa is a 16-year-old girl who is not certain of her origins. She has the ability to change into any other person, which should identify her as a Downworlder, but she does not have the mark that comes with that ability.
