Clary Fray

Clarissa Fray is the daughter of Jocelyn Fray. She does not know anything about her mother's past and has never met any other member of her family. She eventually discovers that her mother is a former shadowhunter in exile, her father is a shadowhunter villain named Valentine, and her brother, Johnathan, is actually the shadowhunter boy Jace that she meets in the club and becomes interested in. All other members of her family are dead.

Clary is an artist, much like her mother, but but she does not think that she is as good as her mother. She also does not think that she is as pretty as her mother, though many people tell her that they look just alike. Clary's life goes from normal mundane teenage girl's life to anything but normal, and does so quickly. She stumbles upon Jace, Alec, and Isabelle killing a demon...
