Chapters 1, 2, and 3 Summary

This is the story of Clary, a mundane human girl who soon discovers that she is not who she thought she was. She is the daughter of two shadowhunters, one exiled by choice, and the other for crimes against the Clave. Her adventures take her from being a normal teenage girl to a demon-slaying heroine without ever having to leave New York City.

In Chapter 1, Clary and Simon go to a club called Pandemonium. In line in front of them is a boy with blue hair, wielding a fake sword. The bouncer asks him what he thinks he's doing with that, and the boy informs him that it is part of his costume, and is made of foam. The bouncer lets him in. While sitting around, Clary notices a beautiful girl in a white dress. The blue haired boy notices her...
