Coming of Age

Darren is a young boy who has almost accidentally become a Vampire Prince. At the beginning of the book, Darren is still a boy in body and in much of his thinking and behavior. By the end of the book he has a teenager body and has matured in his thinking. He has learned to accept responsibility for his mistakes. He has learned to trust those who travel with him. Darren has accepted that he might die on this quest.
