Summary

Aubrey took Christopher to school inside a box of matches that had holes burned in the side. Throughout the morning, Aubrey told other boys that if they wanted a great bargain, to meet him in the locker room before gym class. Only two boys were interested in the mouse. The boy that made the higher offer of $2.25 wanted the mouse to kill and stuff using his taxidermy kit. The other boy reminded Christopher of Freddy. Aubrey said he would make his decision the next day. At home that evening, Aubrey told Christopher he was going to sell him to the boy for taxidermy purposes. Aubrey gave the mouse a piece of his peanut butter and jelly sandwich for his last meal. The jelly reminded Christopher of the story his mom told him and his siblings about Great-uncle Julius...
