Summary

In Chapter Nineteen, Aelia’s assistant, Cyrielle, brought the three Chosen Ones to the gym so Nero could teach them to use siphons, simple magical devices that everyone on Genetrix wore to conjure magic to open doors and perform other routine tasks. Sloane could not get hers to work, but then she tried thinking about the way magic back on Earth made her feel and she exploded up into the air before falling down and vomiting.
