Summary

Part Two begins with a map of a city called Cordus, which looks identical to the map of Chicago presented in Part One, but with the Cordus Center (AKA The Camel) taking the place of the Thompson Center. Up until 1968, people did not think magic existed, then the Tenebris Incident happened and magic spread all across the planet. A plague arose that killed many people, and now everyone was able to do magic, though no one understood it completely. An excerpt from an academic essay on the definition of magic is then presented. Next, an excerpt from Senator Redding’s speech in support of the Haven Act of 1985 is presented.
