45-49 Summary

At the police station, the police are reading Victor's diary. They tell him Paige Marshall has vanished from the hospital and ask if he knows of her whereabouts. Victor says he has no idea, picks up a dime coin and swallows it. He does not choke so he picks up a paper clip and swallows that as well. A policewoman brings him a burger and fries and Victor stuffs it down and begins to choke. However at this point the police know he is a conman and leave him to it.

Victor reflects back to when he was a child. He is waiting at the bus stop with his foster mom. A school bus arrives and he gets on, waving goodbye to her. When he turns, he sees that the driver is his mom. She tells him she wants Victor to learn how...
