Summary

In Chapter 31, Amari apologizes to the other elders at the meeting for hurting Ramaya so badly, but tells them that her destructive powers are proof that the rebels have no chance of winning against the titans. She begs them to seek peace with Inan, but Zelie tells them not to. Instead, she suggests that they go to a hidden library in the temple Chandomble in order to get more incantations to use against the titans, and they all agree. Amari is furious, and Zelie tells her maybe they can still consider peace after they have the incantations.

In Chapter 32, Inan spots his mother sneaking into the cellars to meet Roen and offer him gold. He asks her what she is doing, and she tells him she is trying to find out where Amari is. They go to meet with the advisors, who say...
