Summary

In Chapter 7, Lark says she has slipped through the city to meetings with people who are questioning the overall situation in Eden. They encounter a Greenshirt, but he dismisses them as two girls out for an evening together. Rowan begins to consider that she might be able to have a good life once she has the lenses and can live in public, even if she cannot live with her parents. She decides she will not worry about Lark's comment about the city's increasing resources.

At the Rain Forest Club, Rowan sees people with tattoos and body alterations that make them look like animals.
