Leto II Atreides

Paul-Muad'Dib Atreides' orphaned son, Leto II is the novel's protagonist. Due to inherit the Imperial Throne when he attains his majority, Leto and twin sister Ghanima are nine years old at the start of the book, living at Sietch Tabr, guarded by the Naib Stilgar, and sit on the Royal Council controlled by his Aunt Alia, their official Regent. The twins have been exposed to the spice melange since the womb, their mother Chani having been addicted during pregnancy. This combining with the genetic code of the Kwisatz Haderach Paul, gives them a full set of other lives to consult. Since infancy, Leto has shown he can be his father, knowing things only Muad'Dib could possibly know. Leto sense he is called to undo his late father's mistakes, which have taken the Empire.....
