Chapter 19 Summary - The Egg Sac

The next morning, Wilbur wakes up early and looks for the masterpiece. He sees Charlotte in an overhead corner, and next to her, a small, peach-colored sac. She tells him it is her egg sac, and that inside it are 514 eggs. She tells him it is strong and waterproof. She also says that the babies will be born next spring, and that she is starting to really feel her age.

As Wilbur studies her newly woven web, Templeton drags himself in, twice his normal size from the previous night's feast. He tells Charlotte and Wilbur about all the food he consumed. He informs them that there is a blue ribbon on Uncle's pen; he has won first prize. Wilbur points the egg sac out to Templeton, who congratulates Charlotte,.....
