Chapter 16 Summary - Off to the Fair

The night before the County Fair, everyone is busy dreaming about all the fun they will have the next day. When morning comes, they all clean up and get ready to go. Mrs. Zuckerman decides that Wilbur needs a buttermilk bath; her husband believes Wilbur is already clean, but after his bath, he looks even better.

Charlotte decides that she will be able to go, and she declares that Templeton should go, too. At first, he refuses, but when the sheep explains to him about all the leftover food he can gorge himself on at the Fair, he happily agrees. He and Charlotte get into Wilbur's crate before Wilbur does, and they hide. The sheep tells Wilbur he should struggle when they try to get him to go into.....
